Today 20-07-2018, the annual Technical Event of VVIT-Association for Computing Machinery-Guntur Chapter has began as a 2-Day event by the name “ACM Spartha 2018”.

VVIT has chapters of many Professional Societies including Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), which established two chapters VVIT-ACM-Women and VVIT-ACM-Guntur.

The event ACM-SPARTHA will be conducted for two days 20-21 July 2018, in VVIT. A row of technical competitions and a technical talk by a distinguished ACM speaker were programmed in this 2-day event.

Principal Dr. Y.Mallikarjuna Reddy, after the official launch of poster stated that their ACM Guntur chapter is functioning satisfactorily, by involving and engaging its members in achieving the objectives of this professional society. Dr.Reddy commended the efforts of ACM student and faculty members in materializing this event and wished success. He also expressed that all engineering colleges in AP would incite their potential students to participate and contribute for the success of this event.

Dr.A.Kalavathi, Professor and Head of Information Technology Department said that they have made all necessary arrangements for this prestigious annual event and expecting good response from the institutes in AP.

Dr.R.Eswariah, Professor and Head of CSE Department said that their students are actively participating in various events throughout the year, by utilizing this platform of VVIT-ACM-Guntur and VVIT-ACM-Women charters. He wished this event will be successful.

Prof. T.Jaya Lakshmi is the faculty sponsor of ACM general chapter and Prof. B.Sai Jyothi is the faculty sponsor of ACM-W (women chapter), of IT department and all student representatives of VVIT-ACM-GUNTUR chapter participated in this Poster launching event.
