Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology, under the aegis of its Mechanical Engineering Department, conducted a 1-Day National-Level Seminar on “Value Engineering Techniques” for the budding Mechanical Engineers, on 05th August 2017, as informed by Sri Vasireddy Vidya Sagar, Chairman of VVIT. Sri Sagar said that this National-Level Seminar is a precursor for the launch of a Mechanical Engineering National-Level Professional Society, INdian Value Engineering SocieTy (INVEST), affiliated to International Society of American Value Engineering (SAVE).
Sri Sagar, in this regard informed that Sri P.Arjunraj, a renowned Research Scholar in Internal Combustion Engines and Internationally Certified Specialist by various Global Professional Societies, acted as an distinguished resource person. In this regard Sri Sagar, stated that Mechanical Engineering is one of the mighty disciplines in Engineering which has evergreen real time professional values that are directly linked with societal well being. He also emphasized that VVIT is always a step ahead in establishing this kind of Professional Societies for the professional growth of their students.
Sri Arjunraj, in his intellectual speeches, highlighted about the career development, facing interviews & job opportunities etc for the students. He also advised the Members to few novel Techniques like Function Analysis and System Techniques (FAST) for the Swift idea generation, evaluation, Decision making, Development and testing of prototypes of products. He also explained the members about the Automobile Engine Technology and various in depth concepts. He also enlightened the audience about the importance of Value Engineering by exploring Value Analysis with help of few Case Studies
Dr.Y.Mallikharjuna Reddy, Principal of the Host institute, congratulated the Mechanical Engineering Branch for establishing the Value Engineering Techniques as a National-Level Professional Society and advised all members to inculcate the habit of lifelong learning and Value Engineering Standards for their better future in this Profession.
Dr.Naveen Ravel, HOD, Mechanical Engineering Department informed that the vital objectives of this Seminar were to inculcate the Professional Values and International Quality of Mechanical Engineering to the budding Mechanical Engineers. Dr. Naveen also said this Seminar will bring significant changes in the Thought process of novice Mechanical Engineers and Students in their Profession. Dr.M.Kedar Mallik, Professor, Mechanical Engineering, convened the entire National Seminar.
